چکیده
Dear Sir, Spinal cord infarction is much less frequent than cerebral infarction, accounting for only 1% of all strokes and, furthermore, posterior spinal cord infarction is particularly rare [1–3] . Etiologies of spinal cord infarction are heterogeneous such as vertebral dissection, hypotension, atherosclerosis of vertebral arteries, cocaine mis use, fibrocartilaginous embolization, aortic aneurysmal repair, epidural anesthesia, vasculitis and prothrombin mutation [4] . We report the case of posterior cervical spinal cord infarction following thyrocervical trunk embolization for hemoptysis.

Successful surgical strategy for a cervical hemangioblastoma: Case report
BACKGROUND Hemangioblastomas are hypervascular lesions and hence their surgical management is challenging. In particular, if complete resection is to be attained, all feeding and draining vessels must be occluded. Although most intramedullary spinal cord tumors are treated utilizing a posterior approach, we describe an anterior surgical strategy for resection of an intramedullary cervical heman...
متن کاملUnusual Sensory Disturbances Revealing Posterior Spinal Artery Infarct
Spinal cord infarctions are rare, especially at the cervical level and in the posterior spinal artery territory. Moreover, this diagnosis is difficult to establish as the clinical picture varies. Even if sensory patterns appear as cardinal signs, their distribution can be very variable. We report a rare case of posterior cervical cord infarction revealed by an unusual pure sensory clinical pict...
متن کاملSpinal Cord Infarction Occurring during Thoraco-lumbar Sympathectomy.
The arterial blood supply of the spinal cord depends on a single anterior spinal artery and two posterior spinal arteries. The anterior spinal artery, which is the more important, commences within the cranial cavity by the union of the anterior spinal branches of each vertebral artery and subsequently is fed by several tributary arteries. Down the length of the spinal cord the anterior spinal a...

34 bronchial and 13 intercostal arteries were selectively embolized in 27 patients. The most frequent predisposing factor was either active or residual pulmonary tuberculosis. The procedure was performed with Urografin as the contrast agent, cobra shaped or headhunter catheters, and gelfoam (no. 18) or Ivalon (no. 9) particles. The most common anatomic pattern was a common bonchial artery ...
متن کاملUnilateral upper cervical posterior spinal artery syndrome following sneezing.
A 35 year old man experienced severe transitory neck pain following a violent sneeze. This was followed by neurological symptoms and signs indicating a left sided upper cervical cord lesion. MRI showed an infarct at this site in the territory of the left posterior spinal artery. This discrete infarct was probably due to partial left vertebral artery dissection secondary to sneezing.
